Are you passionate about your tourism business and want to work with other like-minded Denbighshire tourism businesses to make a difference in Denbighshire tourism?
Since the scheme started our Tourism Ambassadors have had a busy time with lots of events on their calendar – PR Workshop at Geufron, Ambassador Training at Woodlands, STEAM training at Springs, Learning Journey to the Wirral, an ‘Eatlocal’ event at Clwyd Gate and more recently a Learning Journey to the AONB and historic towns. Some of these events were filmed and can be viewed below or on Denbighshire County Council’s youtube page.
The Denbighshire Tourism Ambassador Scheme is a FREE scheme for tourism businesses in Denbighshire who can commit to participating in tourism events and delivering on various elements. By becoming an Ambassador, you will get all these benefits for FREE:
Free World Host customer service skills and ambassador training for all staff
Free laminated North East Wales tourism maps
Access to the ‘North East Wales – Altogether Brilliant’ logo toolkit
North East Wales Tourism Ambassador window stickers and pin badges for all staff
Actively participate in the scheme to be able to access any available grant support for tourism development
Social media and marketing training
Local Tourist Information / event news and posters
Opportunities to take part in regular learning journeys
So where’s the catch? We’re asking for a few commitments in return – but you’d be surprised at the short list! – see the attached flyer for full information:

Submit STEAM data on time (if applicable)
Commit to allow staff to participate in the available Skills Training
Make one change to your menu sourcing a dish wholly from within North East Wales and actively promote
Actively cross-promote the wider area to visitors
Display the ‘North East Wales – Altogether Brilliant’ logo on your relevant marketing and promotional materials
Our Tourism Ambassadors are passionate about our amazing area and below is a list of some of those who can be contacted either about the Ambassador Scheme or for local recommendations for food, countryside, seaside, history, culture or arts & crafts.
